The Founders
Jaap Harmsma
As a co-founder of CarbonDebits, I am committed to taking meaningful action by dedicating myself to the development of a reliable alternative for carbon credits. Our goal is to contribute to the global fight against climate change and create a more sustainable future. Carbon Debits will be the new standard for carbon offsets.
Toby Wagenaar
Toby, a married father residing in the northern Netherlands, is a former senior police officer who transitioned into a pivotal role at CarbonDebits, bringing a wealth of management and leadership experience. At CarbonDebits, Toby oversees finance and maintains relations with clients, suppliers, and accountants.
William ten Zijthoff
As a co-founder of CarbonDebits, my primary focus is to guarantee the provision of top-quality carbon offsets while maximizing the social impact of our reforestation initiatives. William spearheads the most critical division of CarbonDebits, the ecology department.
Global Carbon Standard Ecologists
Pierre Tringh
As GCS ecologist, I am passionate about researching and calculating greenhouse gas emissions to ensure accurate measurement and offsetting of carbon emissions. This is not only for our clients but also for the rest of the world. It’s crucial to do it the right way, making a positive impact on the planet and using appropriate carbon amounts in our reforestation projects.
Michael Beers
As GCS ecologist, my focus is on research and carbon calculation to ensure the accuracy of carbon offsetting and reforestation projects, while working alongside the team to make a positive impact on the environment.
Mario Landete
Mario works as a forestry engineer for GCS. Among other responsibilities, he is involved in forest management, protection of the areas we have reforested, and assessing the environmental impact of all our company’s activities.
Global Carbon Standard Data Scientists
Paul Salwey
Paul and Salman are responsible for the carbon registry and maintaining records of all planting projects and the CO2 that is absorbed, offset, and used for compensations per project, among many other things.
Salman Riyaz
